The “3551 Talent Plan”, sponsored by Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone, was concluded in Sept. Dr. Wei Shizhen, vice president of HC Semitek, received a grant as a high-level talent introduced.

Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone held a signing ceremony for the introduction of high-level talents at home and abroad on the afternoon of Sept. 11. Mr. Song Zhiping, deputy director of the Development Zone Management Committee, inked a funding agreement with the representative recipient talents on behalf of the Management Committee.

Dr. Wei Shizhen graduated from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan with a degree in microelectronics engineering. He has been involved in the R&D and mass production of LED epitaxial wafers since 1998. He managed 20 MOCVD units as the director of Optoelectronics and Epitaxial Product Department of South Epitaxial Corporation, with a monthly output of over 20,000 epitaxial wafers. He was involved in 7 patent projects. Dr. Wei will rapidly put HC Semitek at the forefront of the country and close to the international level in LED epitaxial technology, which will significantly boost the company’s core technology competitiveness. This is also of great significance for the development of the optoelectronic industry in the Optics Valley of China in Wuhan.
